Clay Dusters Begin New Season with Competition

Hardeman County Clay Dusters Squad: Kelcie Bishop, Kayla Bishop, Kolby Lax, Will Baker, and Hunter Tosh.

The Hardeman County Clay Dusters began their 2023 season this past weekend with a competition in Moscow, Tennessee.

Individually, Ashton Jeter and Jackson Russell led the group, both shooting a 93/100. They were followed closely by Hudson Jackson with a 92/100 and Caleb Sowder and JT Nuckolls both shooting 89/100.

“Congrats to our athletes that competed at the Moscow SCTP Event this past Saturday! Everyone did an amazing job with this being our first trap shoot of the year,” said head coach Clay Brown.

Hardeman County Clay Dusters Squad: Cole Nuckolls, Max Weaver, Jordan Bartusiak, Luke Sullivan, and Shelby Lax.

The group brought home a few individual and team awards at the end of the day.

3rd place Ladies Intermediate division: Shelby Lax

3rd place Ladies Junior Varsity: Cheyenne Davidson

3rd place Varsity team: Hudson Jackson, Ashton Jeter, JT Nuckolls, Jackson Russell, and Caleb Sowder

The Hardeman County Clay Dusters group was started in 2021 through a partnership with the 4-H program and Hardeman County Schools. Members participate in both 4-H and Scholastic Clay Target Program events throughout the year. Students in grades 4-12 may participate.
