Mayor McTizic Speaks to Local Republicans
City of Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic was the guest speaker at the March meeting of the Hardeman County Republican Party.
Mayor McTizic, who is a native of Bolivar, was first sworn in on July 1, 2017. At the age of 30, he was the youngest, and first African-American elected Mayor of the City of Bolivar. Prior to becoming mayor, he served as a city councilman for four years. On May 18, 2021, Mayor McTizic was re-elected to the office of Mayor by the largest margin in the recorded history of Bolivar.
Since being elected as mayor, he has stayed true to his campaign promise for transparency in government and putting citizens first. Every council meeting in the City of Bolivar is now streamed live via social media and uploaded to the City of Bolivar’s YouTube channel.
The Hardeman County Republican Party regularly invites community leaders to speak. Next month, Hardeman County School Board members have been invited to speak.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 6 p.m. at 100 South Main in Bolivar. Everyone is welcome to attend.
