Ben Edward Prewitt ~ September 11, 1955 – May 1, 2023 (age 67)
Ben Edward Prewitt was born on September 11, 1955 to the late Eddie Lee and Flora Glass Prewitt. He departed this life on Monday, May 1, 2023. Ben attended Hardeman County Schools graduating from Middleton High School. He confessed Lord as his Savior at a young age and was baptized at St. Paul-Skipper Spring Missionary Baptist Church.
His commital service was held at St. Paul Skipper Spring Church cemetery with Pastor Alge Terry in charge on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at 2 p.m. Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edmond Prewitt; and one grandson, Jacob Moore.
He leaves to cherish his memories one daughter; Latasha Prewitt; five grandchildren, Jazmine, Raven, Tiana, Victor, and Ruby Ann Prewitt; one great grandson, Cameron Brooks, Jr.; four brothers, Arthur Lee Prewitt (Tonia) of Grand Junction, Tennessee, Jimmy Lee Prewitt of Bolivar, Tennessee, Zemelist Prewitt (Connie) of Grand Junction, Tennessee, and Horace Prewitt of Decatur, Georgia; four sisters, Laveria Taylor of Bolivar, Tennessee, Mozell Fields of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Florene Taylor (Jimmy) of Bolivar, Tennessee, and Eddie Bell Prewitt of Memphis, Tennessee: two special friends, Earnest “Bo” Hill and Timothy “Terry” Hill; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
