Grand Junction Rape Suspect Apprehended, Wanted for Multiple Counts on a Juvenile Runaway
On July 10, 2023, the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force in Jackson captured a Hardeman County man wanted for multiple counts of sex crimes against a child runaway.
Homer Rivers, 43, of Grand Junction, Tennessee, was wanted by the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office for Kidnapping, Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, Trafficking for Commercial Sex, Aggravated Statutory Rape (7 counts), Harboring/ Hiding a Runaway, Solicitation of a Minor and Contributing to Delinquency.
On June 21, investigators with the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office located a missing juvenile at the home of Homer Rivers in Grand Junction. An investigation by law enforcement and forensic interviewers determined that Rivers had allegedly committed multiple crimes. The case was adopted by the U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Task Force.
On July 10, at 6 p.m., U.S. Marshals arrested Rivers at a residence on Naylor Road in Toone, Tennessee. He was apprehended without incident and transported to the Hardeman County Jail.
He is currently being held on a $275,000 bond.
