New Restaurant Opens in La Grange’s Historic Cogbill’s Store

“Sweet Creations & Our Daily Bread”, operated by Tim and Cyndi Oliver of Fayette County, has begun to serve up its delicious, homemade wraps, sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc. in “Cogbill’s Store” building, nestled in the heart of downtown La Grange.

“It is very exciting to have a new business in the downtown section of town, complementing the other businesses that have opened up in the last few years, along the quaint row of store buildings that line Main Street,” said Lucy Cogbill.

The Oliver’s business also offers a small array of groceries, “Take & Bakes”, which are freshly made frozen casseroles to serve up at home, as well as several handmade, unique consignment items.

Owner Cyndi Oliver shared that a downturn in the economy and health issues led them to start Sweet Creations & Our Daily Bread, “That is how God led us into this new part of our lives, because neither one of us would have left our careers to bake cakes. God has such a sense of humor and always knows best. That is how it all started, so now for over a decade, we have baked and decorated cakes for a lot of families in Fayette County and several surrounding counties. So every baby shower, birthday, wedding, and every order, we pray over these families to this day. God called us to pray, not just to bake cakes. So God had the awesome idea of taking job loss, cancer, and what Satan meant for evil and turned it into something great!”

Sweet Creations & Our Daily Bread is located at 14840 La Grange Road at Highway 57 in downtown La Grange, Tennessee. The store hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays, and closed on Sundays and Mondays.
