Forest Festival Brings a Weekend of Activities to Bolivar

The Tennessee Forest Festival will bring a weekend full of family friendly activities to Bolivar. The festival, which is scheduled for September 8 and 9, 2023, will feature traditional fair food, demonstrations and displays, a canned goods competition, a children’s art contest, inflatable bouncers, competitive contests, a demolition derby, and more. Even though no fair rides will be available this year, it is going to be a good time for all ages. The Tennessee Forest Festival will be held at the Hardeman County AgriBusiness Center, which is located at 210 Vildo Road in Bolivar.

The admission price for the Tennessee Forest Festival is $10.00, ages three and under are free. Admission includes access to all events.

Friday, September 8, 2023

6:00 p.m. – Exhibit Building and Grounds Open to Public

7:00 p.m. – Cornhole Competition at pavilion.

7:00 p.m. – Calvary Rodeo at main arena – Bull Riding, Steer Riding, Calf Roping, Mutton Busting, and Barrel Racing.

7:30 p.m. – Horse Logging Demonstration at main arena.

8:00 p.m. – UTV Barrel Racing at main arena.


Saturday, September 9, 2023

5:30 p.m. – Exhibit Building and Grounds Open to Public

6:00 p.m. – Loggers “Timber Toting” Truck Rodeo at main arena. The best drivers will show off their skills and accuracy as they demonstrate “Timber Toting” through a course of obstacles.

7:45 p.m. – Husband Call’n/Tobacco Spitting – participants register for competition at event.

8:00 p.m. – Kids Power Wheels Derby at main arena.

8:15 p.m. Demolition Derby at main arena.

9:00 p.m. Mud Rope Pulling Contest – teams of 5-8 will compete in this “winner takes all” contest.
