Bolivar’s Storybook Trail is Ready for Fall
Come go on a walk with us down the Storybook Trail at Pleasant Run Creek Park in Bolivar.
Meet Zigby, an over-zealous zebra who keeps trotting into trouble! When Zigby receives a mysterious package, he and his friends, McMeer and Bertie, are eager to take it into the jungle and spend a night under the stars.
Find out what happens on Zigby’s adventure by reading the book Zigby Camps Out, by Brian Paterson, on the storybook trail. Afterwards, head over to the Bolivar Library and experience the fun fall camp out scene in the children’s area.
The self-guided storybook trail is free and available to the public, seven days a week. The park is located at 100 Stevens Road in Bolivar just north of the intersection of West Market Street and Stevens Road. The Storybook Trail includes 10 reading stops and begins just to the right side of the parking lot. The featured book is updated quarterly.
In addition to the Storybook Trail, Pleasant Run Creek Park has 170 acres of green space, an abundance of wildlife, trails, a state-certified arboretum, disc golf course, a dog park, a community garden, and a fishing lake. The trails are open year round for your leisure.
Zigby Camps Out is expected to stay on display through Winter of 2023.
