Bolivar Elementary Meets at the Pole to Pray
Students, parents, and school faculty gathered around the flag pole to pray for the school year, students, teachers, and the community on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, in front of Bolivar Elementary School. It was a brief, but important, time of prayer seeking God’s protection and help this school year.
“We’re going to give this year to the Lord Jesus” said Mary Yates, who is the Children’s Coordinator at First Baptist Church Bolivar. “All over the world, students are meeting today and praying, not just in the United States.”
See You at the Pole™ is a global movement of prayer. It revolves around students praying together on the fourth Wednesday in September, usually before school and usually at the school’s flag pole. Since 1991, See You at the Pole™ has grown to God-sized proportions. Within the first few years, the movement began to spread to other nations through missionaries from the U.S. Now each year, an estimated one million students from all over the world participate in See You at the Pole™.
