Middleton High School Recognized for Response to Medical Emergency

CPR and Crisis Teams, School Nurse Mrs. Danielle Mott, and Principal Janet Stallings along with the staff at Middleton High School (MHS) were recognized at the October School Board meeting for their flawless response to a medical emergency at the school.

Hardeman County Schools Director Dr. Christy Smith spoke to the severity of the emergency, saying it was, “Probably one of the most severe medical emergencies we’ve had in our history . . . they took action and they took control.”

Dr. Smith continued, “Safety is our number one priority. Crisis is something we always want to be prepared for and this was a situation where the preparation, the knowledge, the team that was in place – they had to use the CPR team and the entire Crisis team – they came to action. They knew what they were doing and it happened pretty flawlessly.”

“It was definitely a team effort. I couldn’t have done it without everyone there” added Danielle Mott, MHS nurse.
