Nikki is survived by her son, Tristen Avent; her siblings, Terry Wiley and Karla Burchum; and her significant other, Danny Bishop. She is predeceased by her parents Robert and Betty Wiley; and her former husband Jeff Avent.
She came to us on August 09, 1964, from her late parents Robert and Betty Wiley. The youngest sister of three, she was raised in Memphis, Tennessee with Terry Wiley and Karla Burchum. She graduated from the University of Memphis (Memphis State) with a degree in business. Nikki was married to Jeffery Avent in December of 1985, and they started a family in July of 1996 with their only son Tristen Avent. She later found love again with her significant other, Danny Bishop of Whiteville, Tennessee, who remained by her side for 19 years.
Nikki was a loving mother, a fishing enthusiast, and a devoted employee. She spent her youth filled with gymnastics, artistic roller skating, and softball (playing for Memphis State as their catcher). Nikki enjoyed lake and river trips and was an avid water skier.
She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Teaching them how to drive, taking them to play golf, cheering them on at sporting events, and enjoying many beach days with them. She was happy at home, surrounded by the woods and lakes. In her younger years, her home was the refuge for the local deer in Bolivar. Family time meant so much to her. She loved movie nights, game nights, haunted houses, pranking family and friends, and going to concerts. Gone but not forgotten, she will be deeply missed.
Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
