Fayette Cares Supporters Show Christmas Caring to Those in Need
The holiday season, often filled with joy and celebration, can be a starkly different experience for families grappling with homelessness, hunger, and volatile situations. However, the compassionate response from the Fayette Cares community shines a light of hope.
At Warren Community Church, volunteers joined forces in a large, spirited assembly line. Their mission was clear and cheerful: to prepare and deliver holiday food boxes to families awaiting a touch of festive kindness. Their enthusiasm and dedication was felt in each package brimming with food.
For more than 35 years, Fayette Cares has been a beacon of support for those less fortunate; during the holidays and throughout the year. Thanks to a remarkable turnout and generous contributions from dedicated schools, businesses, clubs, churches, and individual donors, the true spirit of the season – giving and caring – is felt in every gift of food, toys, and monetary donations.
The task of spreading Christmas cheer continues with preparations to provide gifts for nearly 200 children through angel tree adoptions. Dozens of kids are waiting to be selected and the deadline of Friday, December 15, 2023, is fast approaching.
