Saulsbury Woman Missing After House Fire

A Silver Alert has been issued for 77-year-old Bobbie Jene Watkins after Hardeman County 911 received a call of a structure fire at her residence at 10:42 p.m. on Christmas Day.

The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office reports Bobbie Jean Watkins was reported missing after the Saulsbury, Middleton, Grand Valley, and Hickory Valley fire departments responded to the structure fire call.

According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Ms. Watkins was last seen in the area of Van Buren Road in Saulsbury wearing a blue nightgown. Ms. Watkins is 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighs 170 pounds. She has brown hair and green eyes. Ms. Watkins has a medical condition that may impair her ability to return safely without assistance.

The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office reports it is conducting searches around the home to make sure Ms. Watkins did not exit the residence, enter the wooded area around the house, and get lost.
