Gary Gray Recognized for 15 Years of Loyal Service to Tennessee
Hardeman County native Gary Gray was recently recognized for his 15 years of loyal service to the State of Tennessee with a certificate of appreciation. Mr. Gray currently works as a Training Officer/Relias Administrator for the State.
Mr. Gray graduated from Bolivar Central High School (BCHS) in 1998. In October after graduation, he began working in the Department of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (DIDD) and now has 25 years of service in that field. Mr. Gray has also worked at Western Western Mental Health Institute as a technician and was a recreational therapist at the institute. He also worked several years as an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Training officer.
“I have to say that my best time was where it all started, at Western Mental Health Institute. As a young adult, I understood what a career meant but I was able to have fun and grow with others throughout the years there,” said Mr. Gray, who shared more about why he loves working for the State of Tennessee. “Tennessee focuses on its employee’s development, and also provides job security and good benefits.”
Mr. Gray lives in Hardeman County and has been happily married for 10 years to his wife, Candice, also a BCHS graduate of the Class of 2001. They are the parents of two beautiful daughters, Aubrey who is seven and Ava who is four. The couple chose to raise their family in Hardeman County, noting Hardeman County is a comfort zone where they have a lot of family and friends.
