News From the Grand Junction Library

By Dianne Callahan

The Grand Junction Public Library is thrilled to announce that the roof renovation and construction is completed!  Thank you to our patrons for working with us on this huge undertaking.  We were fortunate that we were able to keep the Library open and provide our services to our community throughout the entire renovation project.  Now we are looking forward to our Summer Reading Program that will be on Thursday afternoons in June from 2:00pm – 3:00pm.  The children always enjoy this event!  The Library offers an amazing collection of books and DVDs.  We have fiction, non-fiction, easy reading up to 1st grade and juvenile section up to 8th grade, young adult section, fantasy, christian, and romance sections.  We also have public computers with internet access, printing and faxing.  There really is something for everyone!  Also, you can purchase and order your boston butts and hens for Memorial Day weekend at the Library.  Order by May 17 and pick up is at the Laffayette Gin on Saturday, May 25.  The Grand Junction Ruritan Club and Best Food in Town is making this possible.  Stop by any time during Library open hours, order your Memorial Day meat and browse our wonderful shelves.  Open Library hours:  Tuesdays and Thursdays, open from noon – 6:00pm and Wednesdays and Fridays, we are open noon – 4:00pm.
