Jeanette Stewart Gladish ~ August 25, 1943 – April 27, 2024 (age 80)

Jeanette Stewart Gladish, a loving homemaker, dedicated babysitter, and former employee of Masterslack and Care Inn in Bolivar, touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness. She was born on August 25, 1943, in her beloved hometown of Bolivar, Tennessee, to Elmer Thaxter Stewart and Lillie Pearl Webster Stewart.

Jeanette’s journey on this earth came to a peaceful end on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Henderson, Tennessee. She was surrounded by the love of her family as she embarked on her next adventure.

Known for her passion for caring for babies and children, Jeanette’s legacy will live on through the countless little ones whose lives she impacted. Her love for reading and solving puzzles brought joy to her hours of relaxation. Jeanette found great delight in embarking on “adventures” with her daughter Brandy and treasured their travels together.

A faithful member of Shandy Baptist Church, Jeanette’s faith anchored her through life’s ups and downs. Her presence in the community will be deeply missed as she lived all her life graciously serving those around her.

Jeanette is reunited in eternity with her parents, Elmer Thaxter Stewart and Lillie Pearl Webster Stewart. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Sipes, and brother, Jerry Stewart.

Services will be held at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Bolivar on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 5 p.m.

Left to cherish Jeanette’s memory are her son, David Glenn Haase of Bolivar; daughters, Norma Jean Greve of Saulsbury and Brandy Nicole Gladish of Henderson; grandson, Chad Anthony Haase whom she raised; brothers, Bobby Stewart of Middleton and Kenneth Stewart of Bolivar; sisters, Judy Wiggins of Bolivar, Rita Treadway of Henderson, Connie Hannis of Bolivar, and Bonnie Sisco of Bolivar; and along with nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren who will always carry a piece of her love in their hearts.

In every laugh shared by a grandchild or every loving embrace between family members, Jeanette’s spirit will be alive and present. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
