Obituary: Jerome Lockridge – Jackson, Tennessee

Jerome Lockridge was born June 12, 1953 to the late John W. Lockridge and Jennie M. (McFall) Lockridge of Columbia, Tennessee
He was also preceded in death by his elder brother Gerald “Jerry” Lockridge of Chicago, Illinois.
His funeral service was held on Monday August 1, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Home Missionary Baptist Church – Jackson with Pastor Willie Ray Boyle in charge. Burial was in the Bethlehem M.B. Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home oversaw the professional service.
Jerome departed his earthly life July 22, 2022. He was a member of Home Missionary Baptist Church, in Jackson, Tennessee until health failure.
He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. Jerome worked at Nat T. Winston Developmental Center until dissolution and later retired from Proctor and Gamble after more than 15 years of service.
Jerome leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and loving wife, Vera (Boyle) Lockridge; devoted and loving children, Jaron (Amber) Lockridge, and Kaylon Lockridge; loving grandchildren, whom he adored, Jamichael, Ayden, and Kortlen; beloved siblings, Gloria (Robert) Harlan, John Jr., Michael, Yvette (Andra) Bullock, Troylene, Carla, and Rodney (Kim); and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
