Obituary: Leo Hussey – LaGrange, Tennessee

August 14, 1955 ~ July 23, 2022 (age 66)

Leo Hussey was born August 14, 1955 in Fayette County, Tennessee to the late James and Gracie Coleman Hussey. He was a twin and seventh of nine siblings.

His funeral service was held on Saturday August 5, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Sims Chapel in Michigan City, Mississippi with Pastor Elvis White in charge.  Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.

Three brothers preceded him in death: James Hussey, Jr., Charley Hussey, and Leon Hussey.

Leo confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Sims Chapel Church under the leadership of the Late Elder Adam Gholston.

Leo was a 1973 graduate of Fayette-Ware High School in Somerville. Tennessee.

Leo made his transition from this life on July 23, 2022 at his residence in LaGrange, Tennessee.

Leo will be missed and leaves a legacy of memories to be cherished by his son Mario (Rochelle Yvette) Hussey: grandson, Jamarius Hussey: Brothers, Willie Hussey and Rickey Hussey of Memphis, Tennessee; sisters, Helen (Johnny) Murrell, Beverly Hussey (with whom he lived) of LaGrange, Tennessee, and Gloria (Carl) Brown of Somerville, Tennessee; aunts, Emma Fason of Memphis, Tennessee, Vera Turner of St. Louis, Missouri, and Louise Coleman of LaGrange, Tennessee; special Barber family cousins, Rose Barber, Priscilla Barber, Minister Zeke Barber, and Eric Barber all of Grand Junction, Tennessee: two longtime friends, Royland Peeler and Ernest Peeler. Leo also leaves many nieces and nephews including Quarry Hussey whom he helped care for and many other cousins and friends who will miss him as well.
