Obituary: Huey D. Ervin
Huey D. Ervin, 85, of Bolivar, passed from this life early Sunday morning, August 11, 2024, at his home. He was born on Saturday, May 27, 1939, in Hardeman County, son of the late B.A. and Irene Moss Ervin, living all of his life here. He was the owner of Ervin Construction Company for 25 to 30 years and also enjoyed farming, doing dozier work and hunting. Mr. Ervin attended Bolivar Central High School and married Elizabeth Ann Derryberry on October 25, 1959. He was a Christian and member of Parrans Chapel Baptist Church.
Graveside services were held at the Bolivar Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 1 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Ann Ervin of Bolivar; a son, Steve Ervin of Bolivar; a daughter and her husband, Donna Mayfield (Jerry) of Bolivar; three grandchildren, Bradley Mayfield, Ashley Henry, and Becky Gomes; and two great grandchildren, Kimmrie Henry and Carson Gomes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Pirtle and Pearline Cupple; and two brothers, Gene and Jimmy Ervin.
