Walley Named Legislator of the Year by the Tennessee Forestry Association

(NASHVILLE) The Tennessee Forestry Association (TFA) recently announced Senator Page Walley (R-Savannah) as the recipient of its 2024 Legislator of the Year Award. The TFA is recognizing Senator Walley for his demonstrated exceptional dedication to the forestry sector and its stakeholders.

“Senator Walley’s commitment to understanding and addressing the critical issues facing the forest industry and landowners is deeply appreciated,” said TFA Executive Director Candace Dinwiddle. “His support for the Greenbelt Legislation this year, which expanded the number of acres eligible for the program, highlights his ongoing dedication to enhancing the benefits available to Tennessee’s forest landowners.”

Senator Walley was previously honored with the Legislator of the Year award during his tenure in the State House, and today he continues to champion the interests of Tennessee’s forestry industry. His influential role on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee has ensured that the voices of forest landowners and industry professionals are heard and represented.

The Tennessee Forestry Association (TFA) represents almost 2,000 forest industries and landowners in Tennessee and neighboring states. Since 1951, TFA has provided communications, education and government relations programs for forestry related interests. TFA recognizes the positive economic and environmental contributions of our industry and forest landowners.  For more information on TFA, please visit the website at www.tnforestry.com.
