Whiteville Recognizes Four Winners in Art Contest

The Town of Whiteville has announced the winners of the Annual Main Street Festival art contest, which was held on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

The contest was open to Whiteville Elementary School and Whiteville resident home school students in the first through eighth grades. Students were able to choose their own theme to create an original piece, which was judged in one of two divisions, first through fourth grades and fifth through eighth grades.

A panel of three judges selected winners and they were announced at the 4th Annual Main Street Festival. Prizes included a Main Street Festival food voucher, art supplies, and a $100 gift card.

Winners included:

1st – 4th Grades

1st Place Winner: Lauren Newble

2nd Place Winner: Caden Williams

5th – 8th Grades

1st Place Winner: Willow Dunn

2nd Place Winner: Lily Dunn

All artwork will be displayed at the Whiteville Community Center, 151 East Main Street in Whiteville, through Thursday, October 10, 2024.
