The following is a listing of Christmas events in and around Hardeman County.

November and December

Hope Holiday Mart is selling takeout chicken ($25) and steak ($30) dinner plates to raise money for the Hope House. Plate pick up is on Friday, December 6, 2024, only by 6:30 p.m. You may call or text Andrea Young at (731) 609-9250 to place your order.

Cash Express is holding its 19th Annual Toy & Coat Drive and is collecting gently used toys, coats, shoes, clothing, and non-perishable food items through Friday, December 13, 2024. Call (731) 658-1957 for more information.

Lights on the Lake will be held at Sand Beach Lake from Sunday, December 1, through Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hope Holiday Mart is an event featuring over 40 vendors of crafters, artisans, and food. Proceeds from booth and food sales benefit Hope House for Homeless &/or Abused women & their children along with The Carl Perkins Center. The Hope Holiday Mart will be held in the Wheeler building from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Merry Movie Nights free featurettes will be held at the Luez Theater {  219 North Main Street, Bolivar 38008 } at 5:30 p.m. Movies shown are TBD.

Proceeds from booth and food sales benefit Hope House for Homeless &/or Abused women & their children along with The Carl Perkins Center. The Hope Holiday Mart will be held in the Wheeler building from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Grand Junction Tree Lighting and Visit with Santa will be held at the Wilder Community Center { 122 Tippah Street, Grand Junction 38039 } from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Join them for hot chocolate, warm apple cider, cookies, candy, and crafts for the kids. Santa will be arriving on the Grand Junction fire truck.

Merry Movie Nights free featurettes will be held at the Luez Theater {  219 North Main Street, Bolivar 38008 } at 5:30 p.m. Movies shown are TBD.

City of Bolivar’s Small Town, Big Christmas will be held at the Historic Court Square and Farmers Market from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. People may enjoy balloon artists, carriage rides, face painting, ice skating, live music, miniature golf, train rides, and much more! See the schedule.

City of Bolivar will hold its annual Christmas parade at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a Tree Lighting and Kickoff Party at 7 p.m.

Carl Perkins Center presents Festival of Trees – Pictures with Santa at 8:30 p.m. (following the City of Bolivar Christmas parade) at the Old Curves building { 112 West Lafayette Street, Bolivar 38008 }.

The Town of Somerville Christmas Parade, “The Music and Magic of Christmas”, at 5:30 p.m. at the Town of Somerville Square, 1 Court Square, Somerville. Santa visits { 13085 North Main Street, Somerville 38068 } are from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Whiteville will hold a Downtown Christmas { 144 East Main Street, Whiteville 38075 } from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a magic show, Christmas carols, African stilt walkers, tree lighting, treats for the children, and Santa Claus will make a special appearance.

Proceeds from booth and food sales benefit Hope House for Homeless &/or Abused women & their children along with The Carl Perkins Center.

Carl Perkins Center presents Festival of Trees – Pictures with Santa from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Old Curves building { 112 West Lafayette Street, Bolivar 38008 }.

Bolivar-Hardeman County Library { 213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008 } will show a Christmas movie and serve hot chocolate and donuts from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
