Former Middleton Teacher Booked on Additional Charges

Jason Childers, previously a Middleton Middle School teacher, was booked on additional charges this week after more allegations were made since his initial arrest last November. The recent charges include three counts simple assault and one count coercion of a witness. He was booked into the Hardeman County Criminal Justice Complex on Thursday, January 16, 2025, and released on his previous bond.

Childers was initially arrested on Monday, November 18, 2024, after at least seven minors, whose ages range from 12-14 years old, came forward accusing him of inappropriate conduct. The Hardeman County Sherriff’s department investigated and arrested Childers on two counts of Sexual Battery by Authority Figure, one count of Aggravated Sexual Battery, and four counts of Simple Assault.

Childers next court date is set for Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
