Ginger Crowe Named Principal of Bolivar Elementary School

Ginger Crowe has come full circle at Bolivar Elementary School (BES) starting as a young student years ago and now continuing her experience in the leadership role as principal of the school. One may never have imagined that little girl, who walked through the halls and was educated in the same classrooms as her current students, would one day have the opportunity to be in a position to continue a legacy of education for the City of Bolivar students.

“I am honored to serve as the new principal at Bolivar Elementary. I am excited about this role that has been entrusted to me,” said Ms. Crowe in a letter she wrote to the BES Family.

After attending BES, Ms. Crowe continued her education at Bolivar Junior High (now Bolivar Middle School) and graduated from Bolivar Central High School in 1992. Ms. Crowe received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Union University, and a K-8 grade certification. In 2019, she graduated from Western Governors University earning a master’s degree in leadership and administration with a certification as a professional administrator.

After teaching fourth grade math at BES for 24 years, Ms. Crowe was appointed assistant vice-principal of the school, a position she held for three years, before being named BES principal. Although Ms. Crowe does not plan to make any major changes before the end of the school year, she is already looking into the future and at some of the areas where she hopes to make strides.

“As principal, I plan to focus on student learning, promoting positive behavior, decreasing discipline problems, and improving teacher morale,” said Ms. Crowe. “I am looking forward to bringing about positive changes here at Bolivar Elementary. I want to foster better relationships between the school, parents, and the community. I thank Dr. Smith for entrusting me with this responsibility.”
