City of Grand Junction Receives Grant for Police Department
Press Release – January 27, 2025
Mayor Curtis Lane, Grand Junction, Tennessee
The City of Grand Junction was awarded a grant from LyondellBassell to support the local police department. The grant award will be used directly to benefit the community. This additional funding will enable the department to deter crime by establishing a visible presence while in patrol to make them easily identifiable to non-police officers.
The City of Grand Junction Police Department is pleased to receive this grant award and put it toward obtaining new uniforms to stay comfortable, uniformed, safe and specifically stay noticeable, and to stay within the regulations of being unformed for the city.
LyondellBassell is an American multinational chemical company incorporated in the Netherlands and with the United States operations. The headquarters is located in Houston, Texas and offices in London, United Kingdom. Locally, it is a large producer of plastic polypropylene resins.
This grant donation to the community for this assistance is great for our partnership that continually seeks to strengthen the community by putting funding in action to improve everything about our community. We are very thankful to have this company in our community and for the fantastic grant award funding.
