February: A Time for Love—and Awareness

February is all about love, but it is also Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month (TDVAM)—a time to shine a light on a heartbreaking reality. Nearly one in three high school students report experiencing mental, emotional, or physical abuse in relationships, and 43 percent of college women face violent or abusive dating behaviors.

Young adults, families, and communities nationwide are coming together this month to raise awareness and promote healthy relationships. Prevention starts with education; learning the warning signs can empower the next generation to recognize and break the cycle of abuse.

To start the conversation, invite Fayette Cares representatives to speak at your church, school, or organization. Together, we can help create a future where love is safe, respectful, and free from fear. To learn more, contact info@fayettecares.org or call (901) 465-3802.
