Chasney Vue Awarded SWHRA Leadership Scholarship

Chasney Vue, a Middleton High School (MHS) senior, was one of 12 students, who received the Southwest Human Resources Agency School Leadership Scholarship after completing its Student Leadership Program for high school students. She and the other students were recognized during a banquet, which was held at the agency’s Jackson office on Friday, March 14, 2025.
In September 2024, Chasney was selected as the MHS representative to serve in the SWHRA Student Leadership Program. She began the program eager for the experience and her takeaway is one which will benefit her in future endeavors.
“I have developed essential leadership skills, learned the value of teamwork, and gained the confidence to take initiative in both my school and community,” said Chasney. “Beyond leadership skills, this program has inspired me to make a difference in the lives of others. It has reinforced my passion for helping people and contributing to my community. I’m proud to represent Middleton and receive a scholarship.”
During what may more than likely be Chasney’s most memorable year as a student at MHS, she is leaving an impressive mark and representing Middleton High School well.
After graduation, Chasney plans to attend the University of Tennessee at Knoxville majoring in political science on the prelaw track in hopes of becoming a lawyer one day.
