Middleton’s Taylor Stinson Receives Grand Junction Ruritan Club Scholarship

Grand Junction Ruritan Club President Cyndi Langhans presents Taylor Stinson with the scholarship check.

The Grand Junction Ruritan Club presented a college scholarship of $1,000 to Taylor Stinson at its June meeting. This is the second year the Club has been able to award the scholarship. The scholarship recipient last year was Middleton High School graduate Mariah McKinnie.

Ms. Stinson recently graduated from Middleton High School and plans to attend college at Lincoln Tech in Nashville.

“Grand Junction Ruritan was thrilled to have our scholarship recipient, Taylor Stinson, and her family join us at our monthly meeting this evening held at the United Methodist Church. Our upbeat summer theme seemed the perfect send off for this recent graduate of Middleton High School who will be attending Lincoln Tech in Nashville. Our warmest wishes go with her,” shared Club President Cyndi Langhans.

The Grand Junction Ruritan Club celebrated summer with a barbecue themed bulletin board at its meeting.

The Ruritan Club exists to support urban and rural communities in times of stress and need through fellowship, goodwill, and community service. The local club includes outreach from Middleton to Hickory Valley as well as Saulsbury and LaGrange.
