Construction Causes Temporary Closure at Herb Parsons Lake
JACKSON, TN- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will temporarily close Herb Parsons Lake starting on Monday, July 7, 2025, for construction.
During this closure, several projects will be undertaken to improve accessibility and functionality in the area. These improvements will include renovating the parking area and lowering the lake’s water level to enhance fishing habitats. The goal of these upgrades is to improve both the fishing and the overall visitor experience.
The TWRA does not yet have a projected reopening date. As with all construction projects, weather and material availability may affect the timeline for completion. Once the construction is finished, TWRA will provide a public update regarding the reopening of the area.
