FRIDAY, AUGUST 8, 2025
The West Tennessee Healthcare Satellite Clinic will be at the parking lot of Food Rite { 16240 U.S. Highway 64, Somerville 38068 } from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. It offers free primary care, behavioral health, and substance use treatment services.
HRAYS is holding a free Fun Day event with season registration, a parents meeting, and fun soccer activities for children ages four through high school at the Middleton soccer fields (off of Highway 57, behind TKE). Registration opens at 5 p.m. and continues until the end of the event. The parent meeting begins at 6 pm. and Fun Day soccer activities follow. Come out for a night of family fun. Your child does not have to be registered or register for the HRAYS soccer season to participate at Fun Day.
First Baptist Church Middleton {525 North Main Street North, 38052} is holding a free Welcome Back to School event with a spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m. with Movie Night following after. The featured film is Unsung Hero.
Take in a movie at the Luez Theater {219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008} where Freakier Friday is showing on the big screen at 7 p.m. Synopsis: ““Freakier Friday,” a sequel to the beloved 2003 film with a multigenerational twist starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan, will be released in theaters nationwide in 2025. In the film, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna Coleman. The story picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.“
Music on the Square happens on the Courthouse Square and features Sparky Sparks opening at 7 p.m. for Mike and the Classics, which takes the stage at 8 p.m.

Bolivar Farmers Market {110 Lafayette Street, Bolivar 38008} is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Grand Junction Farmers Market {216 Highway 57, Grand Junction, 38039} is open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Jaron Lockridge is holding auditions for his next film series, House for the Broken, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} has new Saturday hours, which are now 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
