Campbell Chapel Church Wins 2025 Bible Bowl Competition

The West Tennessee Hardeman County District Association (WTHCDA) held its 10th Annual Dr. David Larry Boyle Bible Bowl on Saturday, July 19, 2025. The Bible Bowl is a trivia competition with team contestants from the youth departments of Hardeman County churches where students showcase their knowledge of the Bible. The were a total of eight students from participating churches, which included Antioch Baptist Church, Campbell Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, and Greater Springfield Baptist Church.

Prior to the competition, the students spent weeks practicing and reinforcing their knowledge about definitions, scriptures, events, and people from the Bible. All three teams came ready and prepared to display their knowledge at the Bible Bowl. After two rounds of competition, Campbell Chapel Church took home 1st place, with winning participants Brylie Avent (Captain), Matea Jamerson, and CJ Traylor. Greater Springfield Church earned 2nd place and Antioch Baptist Church came in 3rd place.

A special moment during the Bible Bowl for all of the students was having two of the WTHCDA founders, Pastor Jerry Crisp and Pastor Arthur McKinnie, in attendance.

The West Tennessee Hardeman County District Association is led by Reverend William D. Young, moderator, and Reverend Shon Beasley, vice-moderator and The Association exists to be a welcoming and encouraging resource for pastors and churches alike, working hand in hand to strengthen the spiritual life of Hardeman County.

Their next event will be a quarterly meeting at Greater Springfield Baptist Church { 407 South Madison Street, Bolivar, 38008} on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Arthur L. McKinnie as the speaker.
