Filmmaker Jaron Lockridge Holding Auditions for Next Film Series

Writer and filmmaker Jaron Lockridge is gearing up for auditions for his next project, “House For The Broken”, which follows a young pastor of a small diverse church community facing issues of trauma, abuse, grief, and addiction. Jaron, who is a Bolivar Central High School graduate, describes the presentation as an “episodic television series”, which is the style he follows when writing his film projects.

“A series allows you to continue to create content for a specific audience and build with that same audience rather than attempting to find an audience with each individual release,” said Jaron, who already has a growing audience following of his film series projects.

In September 2024, Jaron premiered his film “Cubic Zirconia” at the Ned R. McWherter West Tennessee Cultural Arts Center in Jackson, Tennessee. That film was part of Jaron’s Stix Universe series. Since that premiere, he has already released another film, “Betray: Thirst”, which can be seen on multiple platforms such as Amazon, Apple TV, and Tubi.

Jaron’s focus has now moved to the pre-production for the “House For The Broken”. Just like with his other projects, Jaron is passionate about telling the stories of people from this West Tennessee area. He previously shared his passion of “bringing our stories, our way of life, and our way of talking to the big screen because it is something you rarely see.” Jaron, who will serve as writer and director of photography for the project, shared the inspiration behind “House For The Broken”.

“As a man of faith, I wanted to produce a real and genuine look into the real lives of everyday believers that I haven’t seen done in a real and grounded nature before,” said Jaron, who shared the type of cast he is seeking. “I’m looking for a variety of things, but most of all talented individuals to portray real life characters. I have a need for a diverse cast. If you’ve ever wanted to act but never had an opportunity, you’re welcome to audition and see what happens.”

Jaron is casting for two series lead roles, numerous recurring roles, and more. Actors should be in the age range of 10 to 75 years old, and experienced and inexperienced actors are welcome to audition.

“This will be an audition with cold reads from the script, meaning you will arrive and have to perform on the spot without preparation for the character,” said Jaron.

Open auditions will be held at The G.A.P Church {324 2nd Street, Bemis, 38301} on Saturday, August 9, 2025, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on and Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Filming will be in Jackson, Tennessee and the surrounding areas and is expected to begin late October 2025 and continue through early 2026.

If you would like to audition for the “House For The Broken” series, you may complete the audition form now, before auditions, or in-person on the day of audition.
