Obituary: Virginia Colleen Wilson

Virginia Colleen Wilson, 89, of Middleton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, Friday, July 25, 2025. She was greatly loved by family and friends. Virginia was faithful to her husband and Jesus until death.
Virginia was born September 27, 1935, in Dennis, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Ruby Davis; her beloved husband, James Spencer; her daughter, Gina Gail; her sisters, Dorothy, Francis and Ruby; and her brother, Larry.
She was a homemaker and deeply cared for her family. Virginia married James Spencer Wilson, Jr., on October 2, 1955, and he preceded her in death on March 31, 1999. She was a Christian and founding member of Liberty Baptist Church in Middleton, having been baptized and saved in 1973.Virginia and James lived a short time in Shelby County and Florida prior to moving back to Hardeman County in 1980.
Graveside services will be held at the Wilson Family Cemetery on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. in Middleton. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar is in charge of professional arrangements.
She is survived by her son, James S. Wilson of Middleton; her daughter, Kathy and her husband Don Davis of Middleton; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren;, three great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
