First Metropolitan Financial Services officially announced its loan assistance offerings to Hardeman County with a ribbon cutting ceremony, which was held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at its Bolivar location. If you need assistance with a consumer loan, personal loan, or auto loan, First Metropolitan Financial Services invites you to stop by the office and learn how the company may be able to assist you.
“We offer fast and friendly service! We do consumer loans, personal loans, and auto loans from $500 to $15,000, or more. It just depends on the situation. Anybody can apply for credit,” said Branch Manager Tamika McKinney, who has worked in loan services in Hardeman County for eight years. “A lot of people who cannot borrow from banks or have to wait a long time to get an answer from a bank typically come to us for loans. Hopefully, we can help the community in that way.”
First Metropolitan Financial Services, led by owner Diane Anderson, has been serving customers since it first opened in 1987. Its home office is in Memphis. Over the years, the company has grown to 24 locations, with eight in Tennessee and 16 in Mississippi. Ms. Anderson shared the company is family-owned, which is becoming rare in the industry.
“A lot of the family-owned ones are no longer here, they have sold out to corporate, and a lot of people don’t like working for corporate, so we are very fortunate. We treat out employees like family and our customers like family,” said Ms. Anderson, whose client base includes people from the year the business opened. “Our business is to loan money to people that need money for vacations, school, and to purchase automobiles, whatever. If you need to purchase an appliance, or furniture, we can help you do that too.”
Ms. McKinney explained the application process takes 15 to 30 minutes for a person to learn if they are approved for a loan.
“We pull a credit report, but we don’t use a credit score. Because everybody has credit problems, we look at the overall picture and the customer’s stability,” said Ms. Anderson. “We are here to help! Our hope is to benefit the community by loaning money to people that need it.”
Ms. McKinney works alongside Garrika Smith in the Bolivar office. Both women are skilled and knowledgeable and prepared to work with clients and assist them with their loan needs.
“I encourage you, if you need something to come out and visit us and see what we can do for you. We do have options to work with the terms and get the payments to where we need it to be to benefit the customer,” said Ms. McKinney.
First Metropolitan Financial Services is located at 1700 West Market Street, Suite D, in Bolivar, Tennessee. The office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
