Toone Elementary School {160 Neely Street, Toone, 38381} is holding a Grandparent’s Lunch for pre-kindergarten students from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and for seventh grade students from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The Brown Bag Book Club meets at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library { 213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008 } at 12 p.m.

Bolivar Elementary School {915 Pruitt Street, Bolivar, 38008} is holding Grandparents and Special Friends Day for third grade students from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; for fourth grade students from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; and for fifth grade students from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Hardeman County Garden Club will meet at the Bolivar Church of Christ {1018 West Market Street, Bolivar, 38008} at 10 a.m.
Toone Elementary School {160 Neely Street, Toone, 38381} is holding a Grandparent’s Lunch for second grade students from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and for sixth grade students from 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Whiteville Elementary School will hold a third grade and fourth grade parents meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria to discuss the Third Grade Retention Law and TN Pathways to Promotion. Refreshments will be served.

A free Community Town Hall meeting will be held by some Hardeman County Commissioners with guest panelists Ms. Marlita White of the Hardeman County Community Health Center Women’s and Children Center (HCCHC); Ms. Ruby Kirby of Bolivar General Hospital; and Ms. Sonja Gwin of Children and Family Services. The meeting will be held at the HCCHC {627 Nuckolls Road, Bolivar, 38008} at 6 p.m.

Walk-ins are accepted or you may call (731) 541-1600 to make an appointment.

A 9/11 Tribute to First Responders breakfast will be held for first responders at Backwoods of Bolivar at 6:30 a.m.
The City of Bolivar, City of Bolivar Fire, City of Bolivar Police, and Bolivar Fire and Rescue will hold a Patriot Day Remembrance 9/11 at 8 a.m. at the fire station {210 West Jackson Street, Bolivar, 38008}.

In October, the featured book will be Hard to Kill by James Patterson and Mike Lupica. In November, the featured book will be The Paris Liberty by Janet Skeslien Charles.
