Obituary: Tracy Shearon Byrum

Tracy Shearon Byrum ~ July 11, 1966 – September 7, 2025 (age 59)

Tracy Shearon Byrum, 59, of Bolivar, passed from this life Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Bolivar General Hospital. 

Funeral services will be held in the Shackelford Chapel on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. in Bolivar. Private interment will be in the Parran’s Chapel Cemetery.

Tracy was born in Southfield, Michigan, on Saturday, July 11, 1966, to the late Herman Keller “Bud” Shearon and Jo Ann Pharr Shearon. She lived in Warren, Michigan until age 11 when her family moved to Hardeman County where she lived the rest of her life. Tracy was a graduate of Bolivar Central High School and a member of Parran’s Chapel Baptist Church.

She was employed by the Tennessee State Comptroller’s Office as a valuation specialist for the past 11 1/2 years. Previously, she worked for the Bank of Bolivar; as an office administrator for the Hardeman County Highway Department for three years; and 17 years in the County Property Assessor’s Office. She loved to travel to the beach, go to concerts, time spent at the pool, and hosting parties and cook-outs with friends, family and especially her grandbabies.  

She leaves her children, Anna Lyn McDaniel (Garrett) of Union City, Tennessee; Shea Bryum of Longmont, Colorado, and Nathan Byrum of Boulder, Colorado; and two grandchildren, Claire and Sam McDaniel.

Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
