D.A.Y. Cosmetology is honoring Delaina Marie Norton Barnes, one of its students who passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, and supporting her family by offering services at all four of its Tennessee locations. Funds raised from the effort are to help cover Ms. Barnes’ medical and funeral expenses.

Ms. Barnes was a Middleton resident and a student at D.A.Y. Cosmetology, which has campuses in Jackson, Paris, Selmer, and Sevierville. Amanda Young, the owner of D.A.Y. Cosmetology, understands the loss of a loved one, and especially, someone so young. In December 2015, Ms. Young lost her 20-year-old son, David Austin Young (D.A.Y.), in a fatal car accident. Ms. Young was inspired to open her cosmetology school after David’s untimely death, which is named in his honor.

Cosmetology, esthetics, and nail services will be offered from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. People wishing to schedule an appointment are encouraged to contact the closest campus in their area. Find the nearest campus.
