Hardeman County Republican Party Discusses 2026 Election

Hardeman County Republican Party board member Austin Bell presented an extensive overview of the positions open for election in 2026.

The Hardeman County Republican Party (HCRP) met on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the Middleton Community Center for its monthly meeting. The discussion focused on planning for the upcoming 2026 election cycle and informing members of opportunities to get involved from licking envelopes to candidacy.

Party board member Austin Bell presented an extensive overview of the positions open for election in 2026. He covered the job descriptions of the open positions as well as the people who currently hold those positions. Mr. Bell also outlined the full process of running for a local office, from picking up a petition to running a successful campaign through to Election Day.

The Hardeman County Republican Party met at the Middleton Municipal Center in December for its monthly meeting.

In 2026, there will be 32 open positions up for election. Currently, there are less than five held by listed Republicans. The local party hopes to increase the number of Republicans holding positions by the end of the 2026 election cycle.
