Jones Chapel Church Feeds Community During Tasteful Thanksgiving

Jones Chapel Church members stepped outside of its church walls and into their community, and served meals during its Tasteful Thanksgiving event, which was held November. The church members went door-to-door in Grand Junction and Bolivar delivering 250 warm meals and a word of hope.
“With some being without food and others without family during this season, our ministry tries to bring a warm family touch to the community each year around this time.” said Pastor Michael Rhyan of Jones Chapel Church. “We had approximately 50-75 members of Jones Chapel Church that served in various areas. As we went door to door, youth from within the community decided to help us serve.”

Food for the outreach was donated by church members and Total Transformation, and prepared by the church hospitality and outreach team. Recipients received warm plates of a meal of chicken and dressing, turkey, corn, green beans, and rolls.

“We understand that God needs willing vessels to carry out his mission. If one must be great in the kingdom he must first be a servant,” said Pastor Rhyan. “I hope this impact encourage us to continue to spread love. This is just another way we can serve others and give God glory.”
