Obituary: Christian Thompson

Christian Thompson, a beloved son, brother, father, and friend, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, in Middleton, Tennessee, at the tender age of 25. Born on October 18, 2000, in Selmer, Tennessee, Christian was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. His boundless enthusiasm for life and unwavering love for his family made him an unforgettable presence.
A graduate of Whiteville Vo-Tech, Christian excelled in his studies, earning a degree in HVAC. Colleagues and customers alike admired his skills as an HVAC technician, which he practiced in partnership with his brother, Ethan Thompson, owning and operating Thompson Heating and Air. Christian’s dedication to his work was matched only by his passion for fixing things. He possessed a natural talent for welding and could tackle any project with determination and ingenuity. His resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities truly set him apart as one of the smartest in his class.
Outside of work, Christian found joy in simple pleasures. He loved fishing, often spending hours by the water, soaking in nature’s beauty. His curiosity and ability to repair and improve everything around him were hallmark traits that his family and friends cherished. Christian lived his whole life in this community, where he forged deep connections and friendships that will resonate for years to come.
Chapel services will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Bolivar at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2026, with the burial in the Hebron Cemetery.
Christian leaves behind a loving family that will forever hold him dear. He is survived by his two daughters, Lexi Thompson and Harmony Thayn, both whom he adored and cherished deeply. His mother, April Thompson of Ramer, along with his brother, Ethan Thompson, and sister-in-law, Madison of Middleton, will carry his memory close to their hearts. Christian is also mourned by his sisters, Brenda Lucy of Saulsbury and Heather Roberts of Selmer, who admired his strength and kindness. He is remembered fondly by his uncles, Jamie Henderson, and Amber, and Tony Thompson of Rogers Springs; his great uncle, Kenneth Wrenn and Brenda of Ramer; as well as his grandfathers, Tommy Darling of Pocahontas and Beau Thompson of Counce. Additionally, he will be missed by his beloved nieces, Everly, Ember, and Marlee; his nephew, Marshall; and cousins, Kaylee and Kaleb Henderson.
Christian is preceded in death by his father, Matthew Steven Roberts, and his maternal grandmother, Betty Janiece Gates. His legacy, defined by love and compassion, will continue through all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
Christian Thompson’s essence will forever remain in our hearts, a reminder of the joy, laughter, and love he brought into this world. His spirit will continue to inspire, reminding us to appreciate life’s simple moments and to lend a helping hand to those in need.
