Senator Walley Announces $100,850 Grant Awarded to Hatchie River Lumber Company
State Senator Page Walley has announced that the Tennessee Department of Agriculture is providing a grant through the Agricultural Enterprise Grant of $100,850 to Hatchie River Lumber Company in Hardeman County.
“Supporting businesses like Hatchie River Lumber Company is critical to strengthening rural economies across West Tennessee,” said Walley. “This funding will help expand operations, improve efficiency and ensure the company can continue providing good jobs in Hardeman County. Investments in our forestry and agricultural sectors help drive long-term growth and opportunity throughout our communities.”
Hatchie River Lumber Company plays an important role in West Tennessee’s timber industry, providing locally sourced wood products while supporting jobs and economic growth in Hardeman County. Investments through the Agricultural Enterprise Fund help businesses like Hatchie River Lumber modernize operations, improve efficiency and remain competitive in a growing marketplace.
“This year’s record number of Agricultural Enterprise Fund recipients highlights the strength and innovation of Tennessee’s agricultural and forestry entrepreneurs,” Agriculture Commissioner Andy Holt said. “By investing in these 39 businesses across varied agricultural and forestry sectors, we’re expanding markets, growing local economies and strengthening rural communities.
