John Vickers Announces Candidacy for Hardeman County Clerk

My name is John Vickers, I would like to announce my Candidacy for Hardeman County Clerk. I am proud to say I am a lifelong resident of Hardeman County. I have called this county home since 1977, and there is no place I care more deeply about than the community that raised me.

Hardeman County is not just where I live —

it’s where I’ve built my life, my family, and my career.

And I believe with all my heart that the County Clerk’s Office belongs to the people of Hardeman County — not to the County Clerk.

That office should always be:

• open

• transparent

• respectful

• and focused on serving YOU.

For over the past 12 years I have served as your District 6 County Commissioner. During that time, I learned the value of responsible leadership, accountability, and most importantly — listening to the people I represent.

I didn’t take that responsibility lightly then, and I will not take it lightly now.

As A Former Business Owner for 18 Years in Hardeman County owning a business teaches you something important:

If you don’t treat people right — you don’t stay in business.

Customer service matters.

Listening matters.

Putting people first matters.

That is exactly how I will run the County Clerk’s Office —

County residents will always come first.

If elected, I have real plans to make services more convenient for our families:

I will work to make Real ID available and  easier for our citizens of Hardeman County by adding a renewal center in the Clerk’s Office, so our residents no longer have to travel out of county for these Services.

I want to look into starting a monthly registration tag renewal at local municipalities, bringing government closer to the people it serves.

These are common-sense improvements that respect your time and your hard-earned money.

Above all, I promise you this:

I will remain loyal to the people of Hardeman County.

I will protect the integrity of the Clerk’s Office.

And I will treat every citizen with fairness and respect.

If elected, I will put the Clerk’s Office — and Hardeman County — ahead.

With experience.

With integrity.

And with a true heart for service.

I would be honored to earn your vote, and I thank You for your Trust & Support.

Republican Primary is May 5th! Please exercise your right to vote!!
