Beta Sigma Chapter DKG Awards Classroom Grants
Hardeman County’s Beta Sigma Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG) Society International selected Elise Nutt and Reese Mayfield-Lewis to receive grant funds for classroom supplies or instructional materials. As first-year teachers, both teachers meet the criteria for DKG’s Support for Early Career Educators initiative. While Ms. Nutt is a native of Wayne County, Ms. Mayfield-Lewis is a Hardeman County native and attended Toone Elementary School and Bolivar Central High School on her path to becoming a teacher.
Both recipients received their award checks and certificates during the chapter’s April 11 Founders Day brunch. Beta Sigma is proud to offer these teachers recognition and support for the excellent job they are doing.
