Hardeman County to Host 1st Annual Spring Flower Show

The Hardeman County Extension Office will host its 1st Annual Spring Flower Show on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the UT/TSU Extension Office located at 210 Vildo Road in Bolivar.

Community members of all ages are invited to participate by showcasing flowers and plants they have grown.  Entries will be accepted the morning of the event from 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with judging to follow.

The flower show is open to both youth and adults, and participants may submit one entry per category. All entries must be grown by the participant and displayed in a vase or appropriate container. The entry fee is $4 per submission.

A wide variety of categories are available, including irises, roses, shrubs, trees, perennials, annuals, arrangements, and container-grown plants. Specific classifications include bearded and Siberian iris, azaleas, floribunda and knockout roses, blooming and foliage plants, as well as succulents and houseplants.

Awards will be presented for Best of Show, as well as top entries in single stem and arrangement/container divisions. Ribbons will be awarded for first, second, and third place in each category.

The public is invited to view the flower show entries from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. that afternoon. Participants may pick up their entries after 5:00 p.m.

This event offers a wonderful opportunity for local gardeners to showcase their talents, learn from others, and celebrate the beauty of spring blooms in Hardeman County.
