Hardeman County Extension Hosts First Annual Spring Flower Show 

Hardeman County Extension hosted its first annual Spring Flower Show on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at the Agribusiness Center at the Extension Office. The event featured a variety of beautiful entries and showcased the talent of local gardeners.

A total of six entries were received, with winners recognized in several categories. Results are as follows:

Bearded Iris (Ruffled): 1st Place – Brandy Sides
Floribunda Rose: 1st Place – Tammy Clifton
Cacti: 1st Place – Mary Goertz
Arrangement (Designer’s Choice): 1st Place – Tammy Clifton
Hosta: 1st Place – Charles Oliger; 2nd Place – Barbara Oliger

Special awards were also presented:

Best of Choice (Single Stem): Brandy Sides

Best of Show (Arrangement): Tammy Clifton

“We appreciate everyone who participated and helped make this first event a success. We look forward to seeing even more entries and community involvement next year,” said Rachel Howell, TSU Horticulture Extension Agent III.
