Adoptable Pet of the Week: Meet GiGi

GiGi, a gentle 7-year-old German Shepherd mix, is looking for a new home where she can settle in and enjoy the companionship of a patient and caring family.

Weighing approximately 75 pounds, GiGi is fully vetted, heartworm negative and housebroken. She also walks well on a leash and has experience living with multiple dogs of various sizes as well as cats.

Those who know GiGi describe her as the calm and steady one of the group. While some dogs make their presence known with plenty of energy, GiGi has a quieter personality and brings a sense of peace wherever she goes.

GiGi and her canine siblings are searching for new homes following a major change in their lives. Their owner, a longtime HAA volunteer who devoted countless hours to caring for shelter dogs, can no longer live at home. GiGi and the other dogs were deeply loved and cared for, and now they need families willing to provide that same love and security.

The transition has been a big one for GiGi. She is shy and may need some time and patience as she adjusts to another new environment.

Her ideal home would offer a quiet setting and someone who understands that not every dog immediately expresses affection in an outgoing way. GiGi’s personality is more subtle, showing her companionship through her calm nature, steadiness and gentle loyalty.

For someone searching for a peaceful companion and willing to give her the time she needs to feel at home, GiGi may be the perfect match.

If you would like to adopt GiGi or another pet, please complete the application form.

Hardeman Adoptable Animals (HAA)
315 Clifft Road, Bolivar, Tennessee 38008 or call (731) 234-4421.

All adoption donations include rabies shot, spay/neuter, and core vaccinations. The shelter does not have cats, so we typically do not know how the dogs are with cats. All breeds are guesses. If the dog is heartworm positive, the shelter will provide treatment once the dog is in your home. Please e-mail the HAA at haa.shelter@gmail.com for an application or stop by the shelter during open hours. Thank you for considering giving a rescue dog a new life!
