Polly Ann Morris, Former Hardeman County Clerk, Passes Away at 70
Polly Ann Morris, of Tennessee, passed away on September 15, 2026, in Bolivar at the age of 70. She was born on July 12, 1956, in Hickory Valley, Tennessee.
Polly will be remembered as a woman who loved her family and found joy in the things that filled her days. She retired from the Hardeman County Court House as County Court Clerk in 2021, a role that was an important part of her life, and she also loved going to work. Outside of work, she loved animals, traveling, and spending time with those she loved most. She enjoyed going to estate sales, being on the water, and visiting the beach in Florida. She was an avid collector, and her mornings were known to begin with a cup of coffee before anything else. Polly was also a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Her family was a cherished part of her life. She is survived by her son, Sean Morris and Ashely of Smyrna. She also leaves her grandson, Noah Wayne Morris. Polly is also survived by her sisters, Chrystal Sterling of Somerville and Phyllis Fish Phillips of Hickory Valley, Tennessee, and by her aunt, Marilyn Earnest Sisco of Bolivar.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Fish; her mother, Chessie Earnest Fish; her sister, Alice Smith; and her brothers, Leon Fish and Wallace Fish.
Polly Ann Morris will be remembered with love for her devotion to family, her enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures, and the warmth she brought to those around her. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
