New Leadership Roles Announced at Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office
The Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office recognized several members of its team on Monday, September 21, 2026, during a promotion and introduction ceremony highlighting new leadership roles within the agency.
During the ceremony, three members of the Sheriff’s Office were recognized for promotions, while a new patrol lieutenant was officially welcomed to the department.
Samantha Choquette was promoted from Correctional Officer to Facility Security Officer, while Ashley Jones was promoted from Facility Security Officer to Jail Lieutenant.
Brian Vandiver was promoted from Patrol Lieutenant to Operations Captain.
The Sheriff’s Office also welcomed James Powell as its newest Patrol Lieutenant.
According to the Hardeman County Sheriff’s Office, the promotions and appointment reflect the trust, dedication, experience and commitment each individual brings to the agency.
“Each will play an important role in continuing to strengthen the Sheriff’s Office and providing professional service to the citizens of Hardeman County,” the department stated in a social media post.
The Sheriff’s Office congratulated Choquette, Jones and Vandiver on their promotions and welcomed Powell to the agency.
“We are proud of each of you and look forward to the leadership and service you will provide in your new roles,” the department shared.
