Thunder Over Fayette County Airshow Set for September 26
The skies over Fayette County will come alive with high-flying entertainment when the Thunder Over Fayette County Airshow takes place Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Somerville, Tennessee.
Promoted as the only event of its kind in the Mid-South, Thunder Over Fayette County will offer an all-day and evening experience featuring aerobatic performances, a drone light show, nighttime flying, pyrotechnics and a fireworks finale.
During the day, spectators will see skilled pilots take to the skies for heart-pounding aerobatic performances featuring precision flying and dramatic aerial maneuvers.
As daylight begins to fade, the airshow will transition into an evening spectacle. Dusk performances will combine aerobatics with pyrotechnic effects before the sky is transformed by a drone light show.
The excitement will continue after dark with a nighttime airshow featuring illuminated aircraft, fire effects and precision flying against the night sky. The evening will culminate with a fireworks finale lighting up the Fayette County sky.
There will also be plenty to enjoy on the ground throughout the event. Local food trucks and vendors will be on site, and younger attendees can enjoy a Kid Zone and face painting.
Whether attending for the aerobatic performances, family activities, drone show or nighttime spectacle, Thunder Over Fayette County promises a full day of entertainment for aviation enthusiasts and families throughout the Mid-South.
The Thunder Over Fayette County Airshow will be held Saturday, September 26, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in Somerville, Tennessee, at 1075 Airport Road, Somerville, Tennessee 38068.
