Dyersburg’s Tennemo Rice Wins 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee Contest

The Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry announced Tennemo Rice, produced by Tennemo Rice Family Farm & Mill in Dyersburg, as the winner of the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee competition. The announcement was made during the Tennessee Chamber’s Manufacturing Excellence Luncheon & Expo at the Made in Tennessee Building in Lebanon.

Tennemo Rice earned the title following a closely contested public voting competition that drew nearly 80,000 votes across four rounds. The competition celebrates Tennessee-made products and highlights the manufacturers and businesses that contribute to the state’s economy.

“Tennemo Rice’s win highlights the diversity of Tennessee manufacturing and the innovation of the businesses that make our state unique,” said Josh Brown, President & CEO of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “We’re proud to recognize Tennemo Rice and the contributions of manufacturers across Tennessee.”

“We’re honored to have Tennemo Rice recognized as the Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee,” said the Schultz Family of Tennemo Rice Family Farm & Mill. “This recognition means a great deal to our family, our team and the Dyersburg community. We’re grateful for everyone who supported us across the country and helped bring this honor home to West Tennessee.”

The 2026 competition featured four finalists representing a range of Tennessee industries: the INFINITI QX65, manufactured by Nissan in Smyrna; Scare Owl, produced by Dalen Products in Knoxville; Superconducting Magnet Systems, manufactured by Cryomagnetics in Oak Ridge; and Tennemo Rice, produced by Tennemo Rice Family Farm & Mill in Dyersburg.

The competition began with nominations in June and progressed through multiple rounds of public voting, culminating in the final four products competing for the title.

The Coolest Thing Made in Tennessee competition is presented by the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry in partnership with the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services and Smart Factory Institute Solutions. The annual competition recognizes the innovation, craftsmanship and economic contributions of manufacturers across Tennessee.
