Obituary: Charles Wayne Perdue – Bolivar, Tennessee
Charles Wayne Perdue ~ October 12, 1945 – October 27, 2022
Charles Wayne Perdue was born on October 12, 1945 in Keysville, Georgia to Emmit Perdue and Bernice Williams Perdue.
He graduated from Wrens High School in 1963.
Mr. Perdue moved to Bolivar, Tennessee in 1968 and was employed by Hardeman Garment. Then he moved to Los Angeles, California in 1974 and was employed by an automated systems company in research and development, operating out of Chicago, Illinois. He moved back to Bolivar, Tennessee in 1984 employed at that time by Kings Auto Service for a while, and was the service manager for Gays Auto Service until 1995.
He was a master mechanic, and owned and operated Pro Car Care, LLC beginning in 1995 and for almost 28 years.
Mr. Perdue had two daughters, Sharon White (Sean) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and Susan Bishop (Tony) of Olive Branch, Mississippi.
He had two granddaughters, Zoe Bishop of Memphis, Tennessee and Alizah Bishop of Memphis;, Tennessee; and one grandson, Emmett White of Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Survived by four sisters, Faye Johnson of Lakeview, Michigan, Elene Davidson of Harlem, Georgia, Laura Daniel of Louisville, Georgia, and Karen Ford of Martinez, Georgia; and one brother Jimmy Perdue of Augusta, Georgia.
Mr. Perdue really enjoyed making things and working with his hands. He enjoyed his work as a mechanic and also helping people with his many skills.
He was cared for in his final days by his daughter Susan. Mr. Perdue passed away on October 27, 2022, in his home surrounded by those who loved and cared for him.
